“Starting your working day with a nice walk on the beach or ending it with a refreshing dip in the pool? It’s all possible with a workation in Spain! In fact, last year I enjoyed an awesome workation in Lanzarote, at the Seaside Hotel Los Jameos, in October.

The island has a lovely climate in autumn (and winter), making it an ideal workation spot. Due to the consistent sunshine, you are invited to explore Lanzarote’s diverse range of activities. You can, among many other things, visit Timanfaya National Park, surf at Famara Beach and experience the unique art and architecture of César Manrique. In the evening, you can dine at local tapas bars or stroll through charming villages like Teguise.

As you can imagine, my workation in Lanzarote was an enriching experience. I therefore highly recommend Lanzarote (or Spain in general) for anyone looking to escape the regular work routine as this place offers a unique and inspiring environment. Given the chance, I would certainly return for another workation here.”

“In November, a few team members of the Forcit Global team embarked on a workation, and our destination was the captivating southern region of Spain, Costa del Sol, where we stayed at Aparthotel Monarque Sultán in Marbella. The group that joined us on this workation primarily consists of professionals working diligently on enhancing the User Experience (UX) of our platform.🧩 This work is a crucial aspect of our solution. it can significantly impact user satisfaction and engagement. This trip offered the team an excellent opportunity to collaborate, exchange ideas, and devise effective strategies to refine and elevate our platform’s UX design.

We engaged in a variety of fun activities around the Andalusian coast, that not only brought us closer as a team but also gave us a break from the daily office routine. Alongside these enjoyable experiences, we dedicated time to working on our expert management platform. The change in setting provided us with fresh perspectives and insights, thereby helping us gain a clearer understanding of our long-term goals and mission 🏁 “

“Last November, my roomie and I headed to Valencia for our first workation ever. The ideal destination with great temperatures, a vibrant atmosphere and lots to see and do as well as great spots for getting some work done. We stayed at Sea You Hotel Port Valencia and were welcomed by a friendly front office team. They allocated us a lovely room with beautiful views of the historical square on which the hotel is located.

Sea You Port Valencia has a perfect location for beautiful early morning or late night walks and is close to public transport which takes you to the city center in only a couple of minutes. Besides the location being great, the hotel also has a gym and a gorgeous rooftop to spend some leisure time. A positive experience and great collaboration with Spanjeworkation!”

“On a dreary November day, I flew to sunny Alicante to work under the sun for a few days. When arriving in Alicante, I was immediately greeted by warm temperatures and a beautiful sunset. It immediately inspired me and made me look forward to the days to come.

The next day I took the tram to my workation destination: Benidorm. As a first time visitor, I really didn’t know what to expect, but it turned out to be the perfect Workation spot! My hotel, The Complejo Belroy, was perfect as a base. I had a big room with enough space to work comfortably. My balcony with sea view was my favourite spot to work and enjoy my surroundings. The café Paris at the Belroy was my favourite lunch place! Try the pancakes, you won’t be disappointed.

The combination of the liveliness of Benidorm with the beautiful nature nearby was the perfect combination for me. I went on some beautiful walks and enjoyed discovering the raw beauty around the corner of the lively beaches of Benidorm. At night, I went to the Tapas street to enjoy the local cuisine, and even at the end of November I could eat outside. Such a lovely escape from the cold in Belgium! I enjoyed my Workation so much, I hope to repeat it next fall or winter, because a dose of Spanish Vitamin D really did wonders for my creativity and inspiration!“

“In April, me and my sister got to spend a couple of days at Sholeo Lodges in Los Gigantes, Tenerife. Another great collaboration with Spanjeworkation!

Although we were there for leisure, I definitely noticed why Spanjeworkation offers this accommodation. Besides having just opened and thus being completely new, they offer multiple activities that are perfect for a workation. Starting the morning with yoga, evenings of socialising with other guests, tours around the island, … The staff are super welcoming and really try to make you feel at home, which I appreciate. They have multiple different spots at the hotel itself that are perfect to get some work done; the pool bar, their chill out garden or even a ‘work’ location which offers peace and quiet.

A definite go to with not only the weather in Tenerife being perfect almost all year long, but also having the possibility to stay at the lovely Sholeo Lodges! Perfect base for your bleisure stay!”

“I escaped the seemingly never-ending Belgian winter for a sunny workation in Spain, spending a week in the Castilië en  León region.

Previously unfamiliar with the area, I was pleasantly surprised with the abundance of vibrant cities, offering the perfect cultural backdrop for after-work explorations.

This trip offered a very welcome break from the usual routine, balancing quiet and remote working days in rural Spain, with evenings spent discovering local spots in the towns of Toro, Zamora, Salamanca and Aviíla.”

“Let’s be honest, working is much more enjoyable when you’re in a fantastic city with plenty of sunshine and nature around you! We spent a week in Granada, and it turned out to be a wonderful trip! We worked during the day and went out to explore in the afternoons and evenings.

Granada is the perfect base for a workation. From the city, you can quickly find yourself surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes. The numerous national parks and nature reserves offer an ideal escape for those seeking some active adventures.

Moreover, the various tourist offices, such as the TuriGranada Office, are very helpful and friendly. They genuinely want to show you the best of the area, and their guided tours are highly recommended. Whether you’re there for work or leisure, Granada provides an excellent blend of productivity and relaxation, making it an outstanding destination for any remote worker.“

“Ik was aangenaam verrast door de hele ervaring. Ik koos voor de natuur in plaats van een vakantie in de stad en vond de perfecte balans tussen werk en ontspanning in Casa Rural Ger in Yeste, Spanje.

Gehost door Bea en Oroel, biedt deze charmante plek een unieke mix van productiviteit en rust. De gastheren zijn de beste die ik ooit ben tegengekomen (en ik reis veel). Door hun warme gastvrijheid, heerlijke lokale gerechten en uitnodigend gezelschap voelde ik me meteen thuis. Een echte aanrader!

De communicatie vanuit Spanjeworkation was ook uitstekend. Alles werd duidelijk uitgelegd, waardoor het hele proces soepel en zonder stress verliep. Ik kan deze nieuwe manier van reizen en werken zeker aanbevelen. Het is de perfecte organisatie voor ondernemers, solopreneurs of digitale nomaden die moeten blijven werken maar ook wat rust en natuur nodig hebben om op te laden.

Spanje is daar de perfecte locatie voor.”
